Price Lists & Discounts using SAP Business One 9.0 will be the topic of this post. Visit this post of ours to learn more about SAP Business One Pricing for B1 implementation.

SAP Business One 9.0 (now available) contains enhancements and additions meant to support the growing needs of the small and medium enterprise companies.  So, what’s new in SAP Business One 9.0?

  • Set active and validity period for price lists & discount groups
  • Multiple currencies for price lists
  • Price list per customer / vendor group
  • Support multiple unit of measurements for prices
  • Currency selection for special prices and period / volume prices
  • Enhancements for discount groups
  • Discount control
  • Price and discount reports
  • Analyze pricing and discounts in transactions

There are multiple different benefits that come with the new enhancements to SAP Business One 9.0 Price Lists and Discounts.

The first benefit that comes from the new enhancements to price lists and discounts in SAP Business One 9.0 is that it gives greater flexibility for pricing and discount models. With the enhancement that allows a user to set active and validity periods for price lists and discount groups a user can control a specific time frame in which to allows for a desired price list. This flexibility allows the user to know the exact dates to which the price list and discount period are active, but also gives the user the opportunity to expand or contract the period is ease.

Another benefit is that it gives the user greater control over price lists and discounts. For instance, a company is running a “black Friday” sale and management decides to extend the sale one extra day. The user simply goes into the system and expands the end date one more day. Only those who have been given the permission to change price lists and discount periods will be able to alter the information.

The last benefit that will be discussed is that the enhancements allow for better transparency via price and discount reports. The user can drill down into the reports and see what price list was user during a certain period, a sale period for instance. This allows management to see which products, at what price, sold the best, but also the discount that was offered.
