Today’s Blog features what’s new in SAP Business One 9.0 and focuses on areas of enhancement and new features related to Bin Locations. SAP Business One 9.0 (now available) contains enhancements and additions meant to support the growing needs of the small and medium enterprise companies. So, what’s new in SAP Business One 9.0?
- Native Bin Locations
SAP Business One now includes Bin location definition at the Warehouse level with the ability to split bins into multiple sub-levels. In addition, the system now supports four sublevel dimensions. For example, you can have Zones, Areas, Rows and Bins nested within each other. While Business One supports this hierarchal model, you can also configure non-hierarchal scenarios
In Business One, Bin location codes can now be setup with up to 10 user-defined attributes ie: size, weight, hazardous, frozen in order to better control inventory placement and movement.
You can now manage sublevel & bin location codes manually or automatically with a batch generation / update / delete function.
Finally, SAP Business One version 9.0 supports default bin locations, which are available ‘per Item, ‘per Item Group’ & ‘per Warehouse’ to automatically route inbound inventory.
