The Future of FRx

Friday, October 15th, 2010

Confused about the future of FRx?

Want to find out more about Sage MAS Intelligence (SMI)?

As a means of continuous improvement to the reporting technology and changes within Microsoft, we have some exciting news for you. Sage MAS Intelligence has been introduced into the MAS family as its standard financial reporting tool.  What does that mean for you?  It means that Sage will be replacing your existing FRx licenses with Sage MAS Intelligence (SMI).  Automatic Shipment of this software begins in October.

What is SMI and how will this impact reporting?

In the short term, you will have the ability to use both FRx and SMI. Your support for FRx will NOT change.

SMI is based on the familiar Microsoft Excel application. You will be able to create reports and analyze data as before but with some additional program capabilities.  Instead of access being limited to just General Ledger, you will have access to all modules and data.  You will be able to build your reports in Excel rather than creating the report in one program and then exporting to Excel.

Sage MAS Intelligence will be available for customers on MAS90/200 version 4.4, MAS500 version 7.3, and MAS90/200 Extended Enterprise Suite version 1.4.

Again… FRx support is not being abandoned.  Support will be available during the transition between FRx and SMI.

There is a great deal of information to be shared and questions to be answered.  We have asked Debbie Hill, a Solution Engineer at Sage, to assist us in presenting this information to you.  We will be hosting two webinars to review the changes and what they mean to you.  The first session will be a general overview of the Sage MAS Intelligence and how the licensing and support are going to be handled.  The second session will be a more in depth look at Sage MAS Intelligence.  We invite you to attend one or both of these sessions.

MAS 90/200/500 User Group Topics

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

As you are no doubt aware, we hold regular User Group Meetings in our Pleasant Hill Office.  These are designed for our MAS 90/200 and MAS 500 clients — both newbies and old timers — to learn what’s new, learn tips and tricks and share their experiences with one another.

Attendees consistently give high marks for the experience and for the information they can take back to their organizations and put into practice.

We need your help, though. In the spirit of keeping the User Groups focused on YOUR needs, we ask that you take a minute to tell us what topics you would like to see in future meetings.

Is there a topic you need covered?  Perhaps a process that you need a little help or guidance with?  Let us know!

This is your chance to help craft the agendas for our meetings and make them even more relevant.

Please send your ideas to Mary Walsh  mwalsh@clientsfirst-us.com, or call us at 888-222-8827.

Thanks and have a great day.
