Getting to recently used records

Some Epicor screens keep track of the data you have been using.   This history is found on the File menu. It’s a fairly common feature in most modern Windows applications like Microsoft Word or Excel.

The first time you open a screen like Customer maintenance the File menu looks like this:

Look up Addison, Boeing and Dalton.   Close the Customer Maintenance screen.

Reopen the Customer Maintenance screen and look at then File menu.  Notice the three customers listed below the Exit.

Click on the Addison line and Epicor will load the Addison information into Customer Maintenance.

Create a Unique Look & Feel for each Sage ERP 100 (MAS 90, MAS 200) Company Code

Wednesday, April 10th, 2013

Make is easy to keep track of which company you are in.

Have you ever accidentally started entering live information in a historical or backup company because you forgot to switch companies?

Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90/200) version 4.4 and newer allows you to control the background color for each company. This Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90/200) tip will provide you the steps to change the background color for a company.

  • Go to Library Master > Main > Company Maintenance
  • Select your company code (I’ve used company XYZ)
  • Click on Tab #2 Preferences
  • Towards the bottom of the screen look for Background Color and check the box for “Enable Company Specific Background Color”
  • Then click on the Select Color”

·     A color pallet window will appear where you can select a background color.

o  Tip: You may want to select a somewhat muted color Very Dark or very bright colors can make it difficult to read the text on the screens.

·     You can select a color from the choices on the Color window, or you can click on “Define Custom Colors to get a larger range of colors

·     Click on OK when you have a color you like

·     Note that when you go back into Sage 100 ERP the main screen and any Library master screens do not change because they are global to all companies in Sage 100 ERP; however any screens that you launch within other modules will have your company specific background color displayed

*Note, we are not responsible for poor taste in color coordination as you can see below Smile

Epicor 905.700 Schema. What’s changed?

Wednesday, March 20th, 2013

Below is a document outlining all of the tables of Epicor 905.700 and color coded tables and fields that have been added, changed, or removed as well as tables.

This should be helpful if you are contemplating a 905.6x to 905.7x upgrade and want to know if any of your customizations might be impacted by the upgrade.  If a BAQ, BPM or other customization refer to a table or field name that has been changed or deleted, then obviously it’s something you are going to have to address during your upgrade.

This is a very long document so please keep that in mind.  It’s over 5300 pages!

We hope you find this helpful.
