Minimize Windows Live Messenger to the System Tray in Windows 7

Are you annoyed like me that Windows Messenger takes over a large chunk of your task bar, even when ‘minimized?”  Historically, it would minimize to the System Tray in the lower right but now it minimizes to the regular task bar as shown here:
