Accounting Software Shootout

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

image

We often get asked if we will do live software comparisons between leading ERP, accounting, distribution or manufacturing programs.

We’ve tried to do live scheduled seminars but have found there wasn’t enough interest in local companies coming out for a day to see this.

On our site, we have extensive information and demos on the leading solutions from Sage, Microsoft and SAP including Sage MAS90, MAS200, MAS500, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, AX, GP & SL as well as SAP Business One.  The landing page is HERE.

We have often looked at individual prospect’s and client’s needs and shown more than one application for them and us to decide which is the best possible fit and this has worked out well in the end.  That being said, if you would be interested in a live web based product shootout please email us at info@clientsfirst-us.com and if you could also post a comment below, and if enough interest exists, we’ll do a scheduled shootout.

Breaking News-Looks Like Microsoft FRx lives as PerformancePoint “dies”

Friday, February 13th, 2009

Per an article from Network Computing Here.  It looks like Microsoft will no longer be offering the PerformancePoint bundle of applications.

It will roll the analytics, dashboarding and scorecarding into the enterprise version of Sharepoint server for free.  It seems to be killing off the Planning and Reporting application that was supposed to eventually replace FRx, their Dynamics unit’s financial reporting tool that came along with the original Great Plains acquisition.

There have been rumors for a while that FRx was no longer going to be enhanced and eventually phased out.  This article essentially says FRx now lives on.

Given the huge knowledgebase of expertise out there, including among our 90minds members, this is great news for the simple and easy to utilize tool known as FRx.
